I recently reread a terrific book entitled The Slight Edge by Jeff Olson. A bright young friend from Norway, Martin, recommended it to me some years ago. The author contends that success in life consists of doing a series of daily “success habits” or “simple daily disciplines” repeated consistently over time, in areas of one’s life such as career, finances, health, relationships and personal development. Each person can choose what those are in his or her own life. He cites three reasons why everyone doesn’t do them, even though they produce phenomenal results:
- While they are easy to do, they are also easy not to do.
- You don't see any results – at first.
- They seem insignificant, like they don’t matter.
Over time, however, these little, seemingly insignificant things you do every day turn into something titanic and unstoppable. Check out the book or shoot us an email if you want some help with this.
